Letters
from families...
Catlett Family,
VA, (Ethiopia)
We are
doing great and having a great time.

|
Johnson Family, AR (Russia)

We had an
overwhelming visit from "the man in red" this year.
Mostly boy toys & remote control trucks, tractors, dump
trucks, etc. were on her list. Not exactly
what crossed my mind when we were told in Novokuznetsk
that our referral was a girl. Anyway, she is enjoying
her ONE doll since she told everyone who asked her what
she wanted, "I have dolls at my house!" Her nice
way of saying I don't want them.
We did things a little differently this year, I'm tired
but it was SOOOO worth it. We did the Disney
Cruise to the Bahamas. It was so much more than we
could have ever imagined. Emma loved the
characters but will tell you the Atlantis Aquarium was
her favorite. Don't let her fool you; she loved
the sand, water, and Goofy most of all.
This is one of the MANY times of the year that we truly
count our blessings. Our hearts and lives are so
full of love for Emma. I've said it before
and will say it again; our blessings come from GOD,
through CHILDREN'S HOPE INTERNATIONAL! Thanks for
all you do for our children around the world.

Gregory Family, VA (China)
We have been home for 7 months now and life has been
wonderful. Makayla was handed over to her forever
family on May 13th 2007 “Mothers Day” a day
we will never forget. We can not imagine life without
her. Thanks go to Children’s Hope International for
making our journey such a wonderful experience.
Everything was so well organized while we were in
China. We bonded with the other 12 families and I look
forward to seeing them all again soon. We do plan to go
back to Makayla’s mother country when she is old enough
to understand and I look forward to that journey as
well.
We have truly been blessed. Everyone says how lucky
Makayla is but we feel like the lucky ones.

The Huerta

They will celebrate their one year anniversary with their
children on Valentine's Day! |

Mayhan Family, TN (China)
Anthony is growing
and learning faster than I can believe. He has a great
vocabulary and is becoming quite the charmer. His
personality is truly amazing and a wonderful gift. We
cherish everyday with him.

Holmes Family, TN
(Russia)

It's the one month
anniversary of our Gotcha
Day (the day we took
custody) with Elizabeth. I can't
believe it's been a month!
I look at pictures of her
from the orphanage now and
think of those days. I
hardly recognize her from
those pictures and memories
now. She is so different --
lively, talkative, outgoing!

in school and looking forward to being a big first grader.
Emma turned 4 years old this year and will be starting
kindergarten in the fall. We adopted her from Tomsk,
Russia when she was 10 months old (July, 2004). She is
our little dancer. She takes tap, ballet and acrobats.
Thank you for all you do for children. We have been
blessed.

Luke

Alden turned
3 on Dec. 29th - she is all of 23 lbs. but all muscle and a
real pistol. A very "assertive" young lady, and is a
daredevil. Her vocabulary is great now. She is in a 3 day
a week preschool and loves it.

Nguyen Family,
TN, (Georgia)
Over all
my journey with Children's Hope was a great
experience. I wanted to thank each and everyone in
the Vietnam team for a great job of placing and
keeping us in the loop of what was going on.
My son is now home with me and my family. Our
journey has just started, there will be many
chapters in our life. As I rock my son to sleep
every night, I think to myself that I must have done
something right in my life to have just a wonderful
joy in my arms.

Akins Family,
