OPERATION HOPE RETURNS TO TN! |
|
|
|
In July 2002, Children’s Hope International held Operation Hope in
Nashville. A group of older orphans from Russia spent three weeks of their
summer vacation with host families who were seriously interested in
adopting them. One of the boys, Yuri, stayed with Debbie and Robert
Schoenhoft and has since become their son. Here is what Debbie wrote CHI
about their year with Yuri:

Look how grown
up Yuri looks. We are approaching our 1st anniversary, and what
a year it has been! He is doing well in school and soccer. He loves being
with other kids
and his big brother.
We have enjoyed watching him
grow and develop his own personality. He is quite a
“kid”! Thanks
for everything!
Operation
Hope will continue in 2004. Please contact Tanya Yurlova at
Tanya@ChildrensHopeInt.org,
or 615-309-8109 for more information. |

I
wanted
to send a quick note to see how you are doing and give you an update as
Lian Xiaolei and I complete our first year together. What an adventure,
mostly great, but at times a little scary.
Lian is a wonderful
little girl, she just turned three and we couldn't be any more "bonded."
She loves school, her cousins that live nearby, and most everything. She's
healthy, a good eater, although still very small. She and I both had a lot
of sickness the first year. But things are looking much better now, and we
are both healthy.

all. And Joseph loves the teddy bear. You all have been such a
tremendous help to us and we appreciate all that you have done We love
Joseph so much, and we know that this adoption would not b e been possible
without you—thanks for your help and encouragement!

THE BUTLER FAMILY, TX (China) |

Kylie
is doing great!! She's a typical, spoiled, 2 year old! She had
absolutely NO problems transitioning! When we got her she didn't even
whimper and just looked at us like, "Hey, what took you so long?!".
Here is
a picture of Kylie and her brother, Rance (21) and her sister, Raney
(20). Everyone in our families loves her to pieces! China worked
overtime in the "matching room" for us! |
