We welcome Connie Bailey to our CHI Southeast Team. Connie will be working as Outreach Coordinator for our Arkansas Families. Connie's background includes a BS degree in Secondary Education from Central Missouri State University. She has taught school, worked nine years as a trainer for Hallmark Cards headquarters, and has many other interests, but her passion is family. Connie enjoys being a wife and mother of four internationally adopted children. Her children range in age from seven to fourteen, and were adopted from South America, China and India. Not only has adoption allowed her and her husband the wonderful blessing of parenthood, but it has opened their world up to many other adventures and relationships. She loves sharing the joy of adoption with others.
Arkansas Families.....Please contact Connie at connie.bailey@childrenshope.net and (479) 420-6484.

The State of Georgia will accept an application for a one-time $2,000 non-recurring adoption expense for families who are adopting a child with special needs. Children must meet the state’s definition of “special needs” which includes medical, age, and / or developmental needs. Families must apply for the special funding PRIOR to the finalization of the adoption. The adoption is final at the time the child is placed with the family, so a Georgia family must apply and be approved for the funding before they travel. If waiting families have questions, they can contact Dick Dietz at the Georgia office to get more information or they can go to the state website, www.odis.dhr.state.ga.us and go to the Welcome Page; Index; Family and Children; Adoptions; Man 3120; Table of Contents; Section 109-Adoption Assistance; Page 28, item D/Children from foreign countries.

Our first few years of fundraising effort produced some results, but ultimately they were too meager to really meet the vast needs of orphans worldwide. Direct mail, grant writing, one-time appeals, and "orphan train" events all had their moments of exhilaration, but overall they did not produce many dollars to give to children in need. So, after much research and consideration, CHI has developed an orphan sponsorship program to meet the needs of thousands more orphans worldwide. Click on the picture to see how YOU can sponsor and orphan child. ____________________________________________________________
Beginning
in Fall, 2006, CHI is offering Return to China tours to our adoptive
families. Let your child experience China in the company of children
with faces and stories similar to her own. Return to China with CHI!
