What Is Heart of the Matter?

As more and more people choose to build their family through adoption, understanding the developmental challenges specific to these children has become increasingly important.  Join Heart of the Matter Seminars presenters Julie Drew and Katie Prigel Sharp as they lead pre- and post-adoptive parents and professionals in a full-day program that “gets to the heart” of these challenges and explores everyday techniques that best serve these children.

Discussion will include topics such as:

·         Assisting your infant or child in overcoming delays in development

·         Techniques that facilitate healthy emotional development

·         Connecting adoptive parents with resources

·         Everyday parenting tips for families formed through adoption
