The Vietnam program continues to grow by leaps and bounds! So far in the Kansas City branch in 2007, 4 beautiful children have been brought home from Vietnam. We also have 4 more families who are just waiting to go pick their son or daughter up. The Kansas City office is currently working with more than 40 families who are somewhere between the application stage and bringing their child home to a forever family! While we are thrilled that so many families are choosing to adopt Vietnam's children, it has increased the wait for a referral. Currently, the wait time for a family, once they've received their I-171 (and been put on the waiting list), is 12 - 15 months for a boy, while the wait for a girl has grown to at least 2 years. While this can look discouraging, please don't give up hope! Your child is waiting for you in Vietnam, and we believe that God will give you the perfect child for your family when the time is right.
