Due to the transfer of
our present China Program Director to other duties in the China Program and in
our Travel Program we are in need of a Director for our China program. The
person we are
seeking must have a love for children and find fulfillment in working with
others to help them find loving homes. They must be able to work in harmony
with the Christian mission and principles of the agency.

LOCATION:
Children's Hope office in St. Louis
SALARY RANGE:
$35,000 - $45,000 annual Medical and other benefits.
Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To head a growing
program placing 500 and more children a year from China. To lead a staff
of 10 people or more and work with branch managers at
12 different offices as well as
our office in China. The candidate needs to have excellent
management and people skills. He or she needs to be knowledgeable in international
adoption or other social services. A master's degree
in social work, or related area is preferred, but not required. Must have
experience in adoption or related field of 5 years or longer.
Management experience of 10 years or longer. He or she also need to have
interests in China, and some
Chinese language skill would be a
plus. Good writing skills for
reports, articles, plans, and other is a must. As a faith-based
organization, CHI seeks a practicing Christian for this position. This
person would be in charge of the overall program
performance, improvement and coordinate the US and inside China team as
well as communicate all program information with branches and other CHI
staff. We are looking for a leader.
REQUIREMENTS:
MSW in Social Work from an accredited school
of social work preferred. Management skills and experience a must.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
The following knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired through a
combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or
on-the-job training: Must be dynamically energized to give leadership
and work in close cooperation with others. Must have good
telephone and people skills as well as basic computer skills. Must
have a solid Christian faith, with a desire to help children find
homes, health and hope through the efforts of Children's Hope International.
Must be responsible and detail oriented. Must be flexible,
self-motivated, and goal/deadline oriented. Must be a hard worker,
willing to sacrifice for others and dedicate oneself unselfishly for a large
cause. Heart and passion required. Others should not apply.
