CHI Family NetŪ is a special service to all applicant families as well as those who have completed their adoption with us. By joining our Family you will have complete, accurate information and easily understood instructions for making the Journey of Love called adoption and for all post-adoption services. You will have online: 1. A well organized Adoption Guide for adopting in the country you have chosen with all necessary forms and instructions for processing, fees, and schedules. 2. Direct online access to all state and federal services connected to your adoption. 3. Contact with your personal Adoption Consultant in CHI who will guide you through the whole process. 4. Direct connections to the CHI Associate Agency in your area for preparing your homestudy and post-placement reports. 5. Direct e-mail contact with a Partner Family in your area who has adopted through CHI and can give you support and direction as you move along in the adoption process, and afterwards. 6. I.N.S. applications and forms. 7. A clear checklist of papers needed and how and where to get them documented. 8. A Travel Guide to the country where you are adopting, outlining costs and procedure. Our U.S. staff assists you in making all travel arrangements and coordinates with our in-country staff who accompany and expertly guide you through the process in the country where you are adopting. No surprises! 9. All necessary information for post-adoption regarding medical recommendations, acquiring a birth certificate, naturalization, receiving the Adoption Tax Credit and links to adoption support groups and resources in your area. 10. The CHI monthly newsletter online which is full of information and moving stories from adoptive families. You will also have access to a section called Wonderful Waiting Children.
