CHI FAMILIES The Forslinds Dave and Judy Suchanek They adopted their first daughter from Wuhan, Hubei Province in 1994 and their second daughter from Zhanjiang, Guangdong in 1997. Before we had children we were at a seminar where this woman was talking about the miracle of adoption. She was telling the crowd of infertile couples that if she had not been infertile she would not have gotten the family God intended for her. At the time I thought that was the dumbest thing I had ever heard. About one year later, through the blessing of adoption, God placed our first daughter Emily in our arms and I became a believer. Rebecca joined our family about a year and a half later. When I held each of our daughters for the first time I realized that woman was right. I finally recognized that we had been blessed with the daughters we were born to raise.
