In Our Dreams

We delighted in playing “This Little Piggie”
We read bedtime stories, sang lullabies, and heard the giggles of innocent joy
We played at the park, sliding and swinging and climbing
We saw the unconditional love and trust in little eyes peering into our own

Our Dreams Came True

On May 26, 2003, our two youngest children joined our family. With each
passing day, we learned more about each other, building the bond of a lifelong family.

We woke each day to pajama-clad smiles, marveling at the tiny feet and hands
We wiped the tears and kissed the ouchies
We learned children songs, the benefits of re-directing, and the power of a hug
We smiled with each “Whatcha doing?”
We celebrated as tricycles were ridden, balls were caught, and towers were built
We rejoiced in hearing the first “I love you”

Once Again, We Dreamed

We know our children’s three older sisters will be just as precious
We imagined the dance recitals and baseball games we would attend
We contemplated the difficulties of fitting seven into a van and around a dinner table
We anticipated the reunion
We prayed

Once Again, Our Dreams Came True

On June 28, 2004, our three oldest daughters completed our family.  With each passing day, we are bonded closer as a family, relying on
one another for the essence of our hearts.

We watch their pleasure as they laugh and play
We know our prayers have been answered as they care for one another
We learned how to take five children grocery shopping at the same time
We celebrate as they learn to read and write and make new friends
We wonder how many grandchildren we will have
We rejoice in hearing “I love you”
