We are proud to announce the arrival from China of our beautiful new daughter, Abby!
She became, by the grace of God, forever a part of our family on February 10,  2003.

Abigail Margaret
Abby is 2½ years old.  She was recently investigating a frog found in our back yard.  Although close enough to almost kiss it, she would not touch it.  If she would have kissed it, it would most certainly have turned into a prince.

After spending two weeks in China with her, other adoptive families, and our guides, we brought Abby home to  St. Charles, Missouri on February 23.  She is seated with Mom (Bev), and Dad (Ken).

At the C.H.I. Easter Egg Hunt, Abby was climbing all over the playground equipment with many of her adopted peers from China, Russia, and other countries.

Abby awaits meeting us on February 10th in Nanchang, China.

Afew days later, she plays with a toy phone in our hotel room.

These two pictures were  taken in Guangzhou, China.  Abby is standing near a flower  garden during one of our excursions.  She also stands in front of some of the beautiful artwork that adorns the lobby of the White Swan Hotel.

Pictured lift are three kind and dedicated people that helped make our trip in China an enjoyable and memorable experience.  On the left is our Nanchang guide Mary, saying goodbye to Abby at the airport.
On the right is Thomas, our guide in Guangzhou, holding Abby at the bird sanctuary.  The center picture is of Helen, holding Fu, Ruo Ling, as she liked to call Abby. Words can do little to describe our gratitude to all of the hard working people who helped make Abby a part of our family. We sincerely appreciate all of you, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
