Things are up and rolling in the
Russia program, with over 100 families working on their
registration packages and 13 families traveling in the first
week of April alone, on either their first trip or second trips.
DOCUMENTS PREPARATION WEBSITE:
To aid families in the
completion of their documents, Children's Hope is constantly
upgrading our new internal website. Please periodically check
the website for updates.

Some families have been experiencing
difficulty opening this website from the link in our email (it
asks for a password). This occurs when the computer's security
settings are set too high. If you experience this request,
re-type the address in your Internet address window and the
problem will be resolved.
PROCESSING OF DOCUMENTS:
Please remember that once
you mail us your documents - they will go through several steps
before they arrive in the region. Once your documents arrive in
the St. Louis office, they will be reviewed by your personal
consultant. Then, before shipping them to Russia, they will be
reviewed by a special review committee. Only when the documents
are cleared by both will they be mailed to our office in Moscow.
Please note that this process takes approximately 7-10 business
days. When in Russia, the documents will be translated,
notarized and apostilled in Moscow. Once that process is
complete - your documents will be sent to the region. Once in
the region, the regional representative will review the
documents and submit them to the adoption officials.
If any changes or additional
documents are needed, our representative will inform the St.
Louis office and at that time your personal consultant will
contact you.
Please remember, there will be up to
a month between the time your documents arrive at the St. Louis
office and when they arrive in the region.
FAMILIES WAITING FOR GIRLS:
Please contact your branch/outreach coordinator/case worker for
information about the waiting time.
