Amha is one of many orphans in need in Ethiopia.

A strong boy, Amha eats whatever he is offered. He loves his mother very much and since the death of his father, he follows her everywhere, preferring to be with her rather than play with other kids his age. His single mother supports him and his four siblings by selling items at the market.

On October 1, Amha found a sponsor. His family will receive medical supplies, opportunities for education, and much needed food. He has also gained a new friend and supporter who will write him and encourage him in his days. This October, Children's Hope launched our Ethiopia orphan sponsorship program. As our families adopting from Ethiopia can attest, Ethiopia is a country with great need, but also a great spirit.
