CHINA PROGRAM UPDATES

Referrals:
Children's Hope announced the arrival of 15 China
referrals for our 10/27/05 log in date families last week on May
1, 2007. These beautiful children are all girls from the Jiangxi
province and range in age from 7 to 11 months. These referrals
were for families whose dossiers were logged into the China
database system on October 27, 2005 through November 1, 2005.
These families waited 18 months from log in date to referral. We
expect all of these families to travel in about 8 weeks to
complete their adoptions from China. The next group of referrals
will begin with the 11/2/05 log in date.
Three waiting children profiles were returned to the China
Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) on May 4. More waiting
children have now been requested from the CCAA. The arrival date
of a new waiting child list is currently unknown.
China Travel:
Families that received their referrals in February
and March, along with fifteen waiting children families will be
in China from May 10-25. One additional family will travel in
late May at their request. The China Labor holiday ended May 7.
Completed China adoptions in 2007 through May:

"Moments of beauty such as this one are what life's all about,”
says mom Susan Arp. “And well...kisses from Zoe...there's
nothing better! This child of mine was worth waiting for and
I'll wait as long as it takes for her sister Lexi to come home."
Home for the Arp’s is in southern Florida, where Zoe joined in
October 2004. Susan and her husband Robert’s second dossier was
sent to China on January 13, 2006. |
