CHINA PROGRAM UPDATES

We received 15 referrals on June 9!! There were two boys and 13 girls who will soon be with their new loving families. The age of the children ranged from 8-months-old to 22-months-old which put all within the age range of what was requested by the families. This referral day covered January 13, 2006 to January 16, 2006 for a nearly 29 month wait. The next log-in-date to receive referrals is February 9, 2006. In addition to today's referrals, Children's Hope received three seeking confirmation letters for families adopting waiting children.

June Travel: There are 18 families who will have their homecoming from China the second week of June and another 5 who travel this month.

Wait Time from LID to Referral: The current waiting time from the log-in-date until referral is 29 months. It is 19 months for Chinese expedited.

Four-year-old Zoe Arp knows daddies are for showing off artwork, helping on the monkey bars, and riding roller coasters. And she thinks her dad, Rob, is about the best Daddy ever!

Zoe knows what sisters are for, too, and waits patiently for her own. Susan Arp shares, "Zoe continues to talk about, and pray for, her mei mei every evening at bedtime. She'll often ask me, 'Mommy, when is Lexi coming home"' and then she'll answer her own question by gazing into my eyes and sweetly stating, 'She's just not ready yet, is she?'"

Before long, Zoe will have a new sister adopted from China, but until then she has an amazing mom, and one incredible dad who is definitely ready to hear the words "Happy Father's Day" this weekend and "I love you" everyday.
