Hiking. Canoeing.
Campfires. Performing arts. Magic. Computers. The opportunities
are endless. But every parent sends their child to summer camp
in the hopes they will grow in positive youth development.
Many orphans in
Russia never see life outside their orphanage. Attending summer
camp allows them to explore nature, new surroundings, and to
develop critical social skills by interacting with children from
different backgrounds other than their own. Summer camp can be
the most exciting time in a child's life.

of Russia to attend a full week of summer camp.

Over 600 children attended the
Children’s Hope funded Tomsk region summer camp in 2006. In
equal numbers, orphans and children with families grew
together through camp activities and adventure. |
