CHINA PROGRAM UPDATES
Summer Brings More
Than a Road Trip for Seventeen China Families with Healthy
Referrals
Referrals:
Children's Hope welcomed in the
month of June with the arrival of 17 China referrals for
our 11/2/05 log in date families on June 6, 2007.
Sixteen families received medical information and photos
of their beautiful new daughters, while one family
received the excited news of their new son! Families
will travel in approximately eight weeks to Chongqing
City and the Guangdong province to unite with their
children on Gotcha Day. The children range in age from
7.5 to 12.5 months. These families waited 19 months from
log in date to referral. Congratulations!
Children's Hope received a
new group of 20 China waiting children. They will be
available for approved Children’s Hope families to view
online in mid to late June after translation.
China
Travel: All of Children’s Hope families with
May referrals will travel from June 21-July 4.

Caterina
Anderson got her family to be silly while enjoying a
sunny spring day in Portland, Oregon’s Gabriel Park.
Ginger (3 ˝) and Daddy John went to pose, but Olive (1
˝) would not be left out. Ginger and Olive were both
adopted from China, in June 2004 and November 2006,
respectively.
A big “Happy
Father’s Day” from the girls, John!

Little Kate
will always have Daddy’s hand to lead her through life,
whether it’s through Cheekwood Botanical Gardens’ wide
open green lawns and flowers or when she’ll take her
first tumble on her bicycle. “Kate is now 19-months-old
and doing great. She has a terrific personality. She's a
love bug and really likes her daddy!” says mother
Christi. She and husband Eddie traveled to China to
bring Kate home in November last year and will celebrate
Eddie’s first Father’s Day with Kate this Sunday.
