Our Accreditations

RUSSIA PROGRAM UPDATES

Children's Hope International is happy to announce that as of December 14, 2007, we were officially accredited in the Russian Federation!

We received the official order #355 from the Ministry of Education, signed on December 14. We also received an accreditation certificate #31 (pictured left), issued on December 19, 2007, granting us authority to place children for adoption within the territory of the Russian Federation. This accreditation will be non-expiring.

Russia recently completed their holiday season with a return to business January 9. The Children's Hope Russia Team is starting the New Year with new hopes and continued celebration of our accreditation.

The Director of Development Aid / Russia Program Director is currently traveling in Russia to meet with all regional representatives and discuss current issues and future plans. Our Moscow office looks forward to 2008 and predicts over 200 adoptions this year.

NEW REGIONS:

New regions are currently being researched and future adopting families may be asked if they would like to volunteer as pioneer families in these regions.

 Waiting Times:

The following are approximate wait times for families considering their application.*

  • The waiting time for girls of any age, except special needs, will be between 2 and 5 years. (Families open to a wider age range may experience a decrease in the length of the adoption process.)

  • The waiting time for boys under 3 years old will be up to 2 years.

  • The waiting time for boys 3 years old and older will be approximately 1 year.

  • The waiting time for the sibling group under 5 years old will be up to 2 years.

  • The waiting time for the sibling group older than 5 years will be around 1 year.

* Every adoption is unique - waiting times are approximations and are dependent on the specific situation.

Happy New Year to all our families!

"Anastasia Nicole Buie came into our life in May of 2004. She has made our life complete," says parents Belinda and Peter. "We just adore her and needless to say she adores us as well! She is very beautiful and smart. Children's Hope was wonderful through the whole process.

We could never thank you enough for sending Anastasia to us! We have had so much fun together as a family and I know we will continue having a wonderful life together." Anastasia, who nicknamed herself Pinky Pie, was adopted from Russia's Novosibirsk.
