RUSSIA PROGRAM UPDATES
Travel While We Wait
So far for
February there are ten first time trips and six court dates to
finalize adoptions. At this point the wait time, from Dossier to
completion, is averaging a little over ten months.
Like all agencies
working in Russia, Children’s Hope is still waiting for word on
our reaccreditation. The good news is many additional regions
have reached an agreement with their Ministry of Education to
work with us while we wait for that accreditation process to
finalize. No other agencies have received their accreditation
and it is presumed that there will be a batch of agencies that
will all receive accreditation at the same time.
Even with the
reaccreditation delays in Russia, Children’s Hope had 201
adoptions from Russia last year.

Laughing along
with his new mom, William Nigh, 12-mo,
came home from Kaliningrad, Russia in December, 2006.
