ETHIOPIA PROGRAM UPDATES

After patiently waiting for Children�s Hope Ethiopia licensure, Kevin and Stacie submitted their adoption paperwork and received the referral for their beautiful healthy boy just one month later. On July 18 in the Ethiopia courts, Kevin and Stacie's adoption became official. After traveling to capital city Addis Abba, Ethiopia, the family safely returned home to Missouri on August 6 (with their plus one, 6-month-old baby Micah!). Congratulations to this new family!

In July, Children's Hope received two additional referrals for our pioneer families, one for a 2-month-old boy and his 2�-year-old sister, and the second for a 3-month-old baby boy. The courts remained open an extra day (a real blessing!) to complete our third pioneer family�s court date. All the children united with their new families in Children's Hope transition home, House of Hope, approximately three weeks after adoption approval.

Children's Hope families in process will continue to receive referrals while Ethiopian courts break during the Ethiopia rainy season, beginning August 5 and resuming October 1.

Upon their arrival in the US from Ethiopia, Stacie, Children�s Hope first mom for Ethiopia adoptions, looks on her new baby boy Micah. Stacie and husband Kevin look forwarded to bonding in the US and settling into their new life as a family of three.
