  Our Families!

Children’s Hope International participated in the first annual Red Thread Run in Denver City Park on November 4, 2006. This was a great opportunity for both adoptive families and adoption agencies to come together and celebrate National Adoption Month.

The Chinese believe that an imaginary read thread connects the people who are meant to be together, and that nothing can ever break that line - not time, nor distance, or circumstance. Two people may not be parent and child or even members of the same family, but if the red thread exists between them, they will come together, no matter what...

China Adoption News

July 31, 2006

After waiting for 13 months, 3-year-old Emily Wolterink is excited to finally see a picture of her new sister.  David and Dawn Wolterink received a referral from China for their daughter from Guangdong Province.  There were 13 Children’s Hope families who received their referral today. These families had a log-in-date of June 29, 2005.  All the referrals are little girls between 7 ½ -to- 21-months-old.  These families through international adoption will travel in about eight weeks to adopt from China.
